Message from a similar time and also where my nickname came from...

my car used to have a paging only alarm on it, walking back from Tae Kwon Do practice of all things late at night on campus, my pager went off right as I was topping the hill in front of my car.

I couldn't believe it! There he was, screwdriver in motion, working on my rear qtr window (prelude back then). I told my buddies to swing wide just in case something stupid happens. I walked right pass the guy and then turned and asked him if he locked his keys in his car. He hadn't seen me until I spoke, jumped and then said, uh... yeah.

I couldn't resist, I pulled my keys out and said, here - try these! He basically died on the spot! Man, I wish I could have had a picture of his expression!

I told him, don't f*** with me, we're walking over that hill to campus police, all of 100 yards away. He agreed and near the top of the hill, he took a shot at me. I already realized he was a high school kid at best and I could get screwed for hitting him, I wanted to so bad, but when I saw the punch coming, I swept him. I really didn't think about the hill issue, he rolled most of the way down hernia hill as we called it and got eaten up by steps, stones, you name it on the way down. It had to have hurt bad. I was actually glad to hear him breathing when I caught up with him.

When we got there, he told the cops I'd beat him up, kicked him, yada yada yada... Fortunately my friends showed up soon after his act, and I gave them my side of the story, showed him my hands were not beatin, and my friends backed me and the cops said it fit and that was that.

Well the kid was released to his mommy and later it went to trial.

The sucky part is they kept my rear qtr window as evidence and I couldn't get it back until afterwards = three weeks later! I had to go buy a new one. $200 bucks out of my pocket, not his... I didn't understand this part.

Still, the involuntary cartwheels down the hill were worth it.

My car was the 5th one he had hit that night. The other receivers were in his book bag.

little $hit!

Regards
Sweep
